ANTIQUE SEWING MACHINES

Peter Hobkirk, Chairman of Hobkirk Sewing Machines Ltd is a keen antique sewing machine enthusiast and collector & is also a member of ISMACS. (International Sewing Machine Antique Collectors Society).

We have listed many of Peter's collection here on our web site and invite anyone with an interest to come and view our two museum rooms.

(80) The Shakespear Lock-Stitch This machine uses a small shuttle in line with the feed. The upper and lower shafts are driven by a gear on the fly wheel and a cam on the lower shaft regulates the lifting and sliding motion of the fed dog.		(81) Frister and Rossmann (1) Antique Sewing Machine There are two practically identical machines in the collection. Both have, more or less, the same floral design and wooden base.
