Delivery & Returns
Orders to the UK mainland are sent by Royal Mail 1st class, Royal Mail 1st class signed for, DPD next day delivery or HMT Pallets.
If ordered before 2pm, your order will normally be dispatched the same day. In some circumstances this may not be possible due to an item being out of stock or if there are issues with the courier collection. Royal Mail 1st class should arrive within one working day (excluding weekend and bank holidays) however this is not guaranteed. Orders with a value over £50 will be sent by Royal Mail 1st class signed for where a signature will be required upon delivery. In exceptional circumstances, we ask that you give orders dispatched by Royal Mail up to 14 days to arrive.
If your order is over 2kg or includes oils and sprays, this will be dispatched by DPD next working day delivery. A premium Saturday delivery is available for an additional postage charge, if this is something you would require please make contact before placing your order.
Extra-large / heavy products such as industrial sewing machines will be sent via HMT Pallets. The pallet will be delivered to your chosen address and the driver will lower the pallet from his lorry outside your premises. At this point you will be responsible for the pallet and its contents. An adjustable spanner and scissors will be required for taking industrial sewing machines off their pallets.
We regret that we are unable to specify exact delivery times for courier services however you should receive tracking information via text or email if your order has been sent by DPD.
Cancellations / Returns
We are pleased to offer a fair and equitable returns policy, which is in addition to your statutory rights.
Should your purchase disappoint you in any way, you may return your order, provided you notify us before or within 14 days after delivery. Your product must be complete, unused and in 'as new' condition (e.g., if you have opened the box to examine the product you must have done so without damaging or marking the product in any way). It should be returned at your cost with the original box, packing and accessories.
If for any reason your order arrives damaged or faulty, then please contact Hobkirks within 72hrs of the delivery, we will then be able to help resolve the issue accordingly.
Please note: we do not accept returns on anything that is cut to order. Should your order arrive faulty or damaged, please contact us to discuss replacement products.

All packaging is examined in detail by ourselves prior to despatch to ensure that it leaves our warehouse in perfect condition. However, transit damage unfortunately can occur. If your purchase is showing obvious signs of transit damage upon delivery, please refuse to accept delivery and notify us immediately. If damage is only evident upon opening of packaging, then you must inform us within 72 hours of receipt. In either case, we will then arrange re-delivery of replacement goods as soon as possible.
