Service as it should be. I have been using this firm for nearly 40 years and wouldn’t by a machine from anywhere else. Peter Hobkirk gave us a tour of the museum which was fascinating. Excellent customer service all round and a fabulous sewing machine at a massively competitive price! Thanks to Elaine for her care and attention to detail ensuring I got a machine that suits my needs. Highly recommended

New to sewing after inheriting a modern Janome machine and a vintage Singer 99k as my mum recently passed away. Also hubby bought me a vintage 1927 Frister & Rossmann. Little bit obsessed with sewing machines now so we thought it would be interesting to visit the Hobkirk sewing machine museum. Although it was quite a ride out, What a delight ! Although Peter’s day off we were treated to a very informative tour round the premises and got to see the amazing collection of old machines. We were made so welcome, lovely people. Really enjoyed our visit and have already recommended it to friends and via social media. Also the shop is fab, spent lots of pennies on some gorgeous fabrics and pretty buttons. Thank you to the brilliant staff of Hobkirks.

Fantastic service at the Blackburn shop, the staff are lovely, helpful and very knowledgeable. I got everything I wanted, delivery was excellent too, the 4 machines I bought are all fabulous. Thank you so much for all your help, I will be back!

I'd just like to say a big thank you to Elaine and Amy and I guess all the staff involved in sales at Hobkirks. To say you are exceptional is an understatement, the online/ remote experience is exactly as you experience in the shop, warm, friendly and helpful, and there are not many companies who can let alone have achieved that.
So from a very grateful husband who, thanks to your help, got his wifes birthday present right.

Just bought a new machine after 40+ years of service from my old one. Wow how things have moved on! Elaine helped me choose the right one for my needs and showed me how to do just about everything I might want to do. Really helpful and friendly advice without any pressure. The shop itself is a treasure trove of all things sewing and I can’t wait to use my new machine and to find an excuse to pop back in for a browse

I placed my first order on Saturday for the new Madeira coloured threads which are almost impossible to find in the UK. They arrived this morning which was a lovely surprise as it's my birthday also today. Over the moon with the threads, the speed of delivery and the hassle free ordering system. Will definitely be shopping here again 5*
