Just bought a new machine after 40+ years of service from my old one. Wow how things have moved on! Elaine helped me choose the right one for my needs and showed me how to do just about everything I might want to do. Really helpful and friendly advice without any pressure. The shop itself is a treasure trove of all things sewing and I can’t wait to use my new machine and to find an excuse to pop back in for a browse

I placed my first order on Saturday for the new Madeira coloured threads which are almost impossible to find in the UK. They arrived this morning which was a lovely surprise as it's my birthday also today. Over the moon with the threads, the speed of delivery and the hassle free ordering system. Will definitely be shopping here again 5*

Wonderful visit again today to Hobkirks - love visiting this shop, friendly helpful staff, beautiful fabrics. Demo day today was well worth the trip, Anne Marie is a very talented lady - thank you all for a thoroughly enjoyable visit

Excellent customer service. Unfortunately FedEx decided to leave my order on the doorstep the day we had torrential downpours. One phone call to Hobkirks and a replacement was sent with no quibbles. Thank you Gordon.

I have just received my embroidery machine and I am blown away! The machine is fantastic and the extras you get are fab! Excellent customer service after having an awful experience with another company. Highly recommended, thank you very much!

I dropped off my poorly embroidery machine yesterday morning and wasn’t expecting it back so soon. To say I was ecstatic when I received a call to say it was ready THE SAME DAY would be a major understatement. The staff were professional, extremely helpful and super efficient. I’ve used these guys for YEARS and this is why, they NEVER let you down. Thank you

Got my first machine from here 30+ years ago and it was still going strong but I fancied a treat. Hobkirks gave me great service and a good trade in. I bought a new sewing machine and overlocker. Elaine was very helpful and I am sure I will get good after sales service and help if needed. The big car park is a bonus and you could spend hours here (and money). Looking forward to my next visit.
