Sewing Machine Needles

The sewing machine needle plays an important roll in successful stitching. Sewing machine needles come in a variety of size and type. Match the needle to your project for the perfect sewing results. It's also very important that your needles aren't damaged or worn as these can cause broken or shredded threads, skipped stitches, fabric puckering, uneven seams, or even permanently damage fabrics.

When should you change your needles?

Needles are one of the least expensive components in a sewing project and so we would highly recommend you change your needle with each new project (if you can!) Sewing machine needles really only have a lifespan of 6 to 8 hours of sewing time, but that can be even less if the fabric is thick or tough to sew. It’s not worth the risk of damaging your project by using a dull needle so we suggest to buy new needles as often as you can to keep your projects looking their absolute best!
