Very proactive customer service from Linda Shore for ensuring ‘next day delivery’ was adhered to by the couriers on discovery that my Babylock workstation was still sitting in the couriers local depot.

I ordered a selection of fabrics from sale at 11.45pm Sunday evening and postie has just delivered them (12 noon Tuesday). As usual, fantastic quality at exceptional prices and beautifully presented tied in an organza ribbon. Highly recommended. Thank you for such wonderful service.

I recently took my 122 year old sewing machine into the store. Elaine serviced it and spent time with me showing me how to use it perfectly. Her skills and knowledge is outstanding and she was so lovely and patient. I now have a lovely vintage sewing machine that runs smoothly thanks to Elaine. Superb customer service, brilliant … can’t rate highly enough. Thank you!

A few weeks ago, I asked about overlockers. I knew I needed one to progress my sewing but didn’t know where to start. This lovely group offered me soooo much advice and recom­men­dations. I also had Elaine Taylor contact me - wow, what a star. She works at Hobkirks with decades of experience and teaching. An hour and a half from me but it was worth the travel as I’ve been underwhelmed by some of the places closer to home (little advice and support beyond selling). Elaine even changed her day off to suit my visit. I ended up buying a Juki. I’m going to love using this machine. Thank you everyone and a special thanks to Elaine

I have a very old Singer machine which I use rarely for heavy-duty car hoods etc. All other suppliers (who claimed to be experts) were unable to help me. Gordon was able to identify (from my limited knowledge) what needles I needed, and also found some needle screws for me. His guidance on how to time my needle to the bobbin was the key to getting my machine working correctly again! An outstanding service. Thank you Gordon and Hobkirks.

What amazing customer service! I placed my first order with them because they had a fantastic sale and I wanted some relatively expensive interfacings. The day after placing my order online I had a telephone message and an email explaining that one item wasn't in stock and what my preference was. The following day my whole order arrived and the missing item the day after that with no extra postage. I will definitely be using Hobkirk's again. Thank you :-)

I just want to say what a privilege it is to deal with a company that believes that the customer is essential, I ordered items that I received in less than twenty-four hours, which was utterly incredible, Gordon the man with enormous expertise answered all my questions without trying to force me to purchase things I didn't need, a practice that has become prevalent over the last 2/3 decades. The experience was a pleasure and I cannot recommend this company highly enough, for me it's a no-brainer that I shall do business with them again.
